Following the incredible response to our first Art Retreat, Sip & Create is delighted to return to one of Derbyshire’s most elegant historic estates — Renishaw Hall — for a second immersive day of painting and relaxation.
A workshop where time slows, inspiration flows, and creativity nurtures your wellbeing.

We’ll gather in the beautiful Rex Whistler Room, a refined space filled with art, light and character. Here, your artist will guide you through creating "Frosty Forest" — one of our most-loved wall art designs. Beginning with a blank canvas, you’ll explore modern acrylic techniques and expressive brushwork to build an ethereal woodland scene. Add a touch of shimmer, and if you wish, a graceful deer silhouette or two for a touch of quiet magic.
No experience is needed — simply come ready to unwind and be gently guided through each stage. By the end of the day, you’ll have a ready to hang piece of art to proudly display....or gift to someone special.
Every detail has been thoughtfully arranged for your comfort and enjoyment. All art materials are provided, and you’ll be treated to a beautifully presented lunch of soup and sandwiches — the perfect touch of autumn cosiness.

The Day We’ve Crafted for You
10:15am – Arrival at Renishaw Hall
You’ll be warmly welcomed into the beautiful Rex Whistler Room — a light-filled space overlooking the gardens. Take a moment to settle in, enjoy a tea or coffee, and soak up the calm before we begin.
10:30am – Morning Painting Session
Your artist will gently guide you through the first stages of your Frosty Forest painting — exploring colour blends, brushwork, and modern layering techniques to create an atmospheric woodland base. No rush, no pressure — just a relaxed flow of creativity.
12:15pm – Lunch Break
A delicious lunch of soup and sandwiches will be served, beautifully presented and full of autumn comfort. This is your time to pause, enjoy conversation, and wander the grounds if you wish.
1:00pm – Afternoon Painting Session
We’ll return to our canvases to add depth, light, and those magical finishing touches — shimmering accents and optional deer silhouettes to complete your serene winter scene.
3:15pm – Close of Workshop
A gentle finish to a creative and restorative day. Take home your finished artwork, beautifully wrapped and ready to display — along with a head full of inspiration.
